Yew Tree Farm is a truly unique property situated in Reagill, a beautiful village in the unspoiled Eden Valley of Cumbria.
Accommodating up to 15 people this large holiday house is furnished and equipped to the highest standards making it the perfect place for family gatherings, groups of friends or parties interested in walking, riding, outdoor activities, fishing, shooting or even artists looking for a peaceful retreat to draw or paint. The house has a large garden, BBQ area, and outdoor jacuzzi too!
The garden, known as the Image Garden, is Grade II listed on the English Heritage historic parks and gardens register. It is laid out in Italianate style, full of statues and sculptures created by a previous owner in the early 19th Century – the late Thomas Bland, an artist, poet, sculptor, composer and a geologist. A garden party was held here every year to celebrate the accession of Queen Victoria to the throne with up to 1400 people attending to listen to music, poetry, and readings.
Situated in Reagill, a delightful little village, it is close to the Lake District and surrounded by the beautiful rolling countryside of the Eden Valley. Nearby attractions include Brougham Castle, Acorn Bank and gardens and Rheged Discovery centre.
Reagill is easily accessible from the M6 and just a stone’s throw from The Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Scottish Borders. Appleby is the nearest market town, famous for its horse fair, with Penrith only a 20-minute drive away.
