Q: Do I have to pay a Deposit for my holiday?

A: If you are booking more than 60 days in advance of your holiday, a deposit will be required. If you are booking less than 60 days prior to your holiday, full payment will be required. The deposit amount will be confirmed during the booking process.


Q: Where do I find out about the Booking Terms and Conditions?

Q: What is the Security Deposit?

A: Some property owners ask for a Security Deposit as a guarantee, which will be shown on the property page, to cover any losses, damage and/or additional cleaning charges if the property is left in an unsatisfactory condition following departure. The security deposit is payable at the same time and in addition to the balance payment of the holiday rental and is held by Fells & Dales. The security deposit will be refunded to you within 10 days of departure subject to deductions necessary because of your or any member of your party’s breach of your obligations (these are detailed in clause 8 of our Booking Conditions).


Q: Can I book a Short Break?

A: Sure! many properties within our portfolio are available to book for short breaks such as a weekend or mid-week break. Short break prices and availability will be shown on the property page and within the availability calendar.


Q: Do I need to bring my own bed linen and/or towels?

A: Most of our properties provide linen and some may also provide towels. It is important to check the property details whether your chosen property provides bed linen/towels and if necessary bring the appropriate bed linen/towels with you.


Q: What time can I arrive and what time must I depart?

A: For most properties, the arrival time is 16:00, however, do check your confirmation. Departure is also usually by 10.00 on departure day but again do check your confirmation. If any properties have different arrival and departure times, these will be noted on your booking confirmation.


Q: What do I do if I arrive late?

A: If you are going to be arriving late or on a different day, it is important that you telephone us so that we can help you with alternative arrangements. If you are unable to reach the office, then please telephone the owner of your property whose contact details can be found in your welcome email, sent to you around 10 days prior to your scheduled arrival.


Q: Do I need to bring anything?

A: We would recommend you bring your booking confirmation letter with you, as this often includes important information and we may ask to see your letter for identification purposes. Some of our properties may suggest other items to bring with you such as torches. If this applies to your booking, then you will be notified of this in your welcome email.


Q: How do I get the keys to the property?

A: When we confirm the details of your booking, we will advise you on how to collect the keys and where they are located. Some owners prefer to meet you on arrival where others will have a lock-box.


Q: If I need to cancel my holiday, what will happen?

A: As soon as holiday booking is confirmed (by way of a full or deposit payment) you are automatically bound by our booking Terms and Conditions which contains detailed information regarding our cancellation policy. Click here to view the Terms & Conditions on our website.


Q: Do you provide insurance?

A: Currently, we do not offer insurance. You are encouraged to seek your own adequate insurance cover.


Q: What are your Opening Hours?

A: Staff can be contacted by telephone on 01931599990 between the hours of 9.00am and 6.00pm Monay to Friday, 9.00am to 12.00pm on Saturday. The office is closed on a Sunday, Bank Holidays, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.


Q: Does the property include a cot and a high chair?

A: Most properties will provide a high chair and travel cot, however, do check this when booking. Parents should always bring their own baby bedding.


Q: Do you have any Dog-Friendly Properties?

A: We do have properties which allow dogs to stay. This will be shown in the property details or view all Dog-Friendly properties on our website.
